Jade's abilities and powers

(Note that this powerset is widely not tied to her concept as balance/harmony are simply the concepts she draws power from usually and cannot control in any metaphysical manner besides specific cases (not yet, anyway). Instead, this is either stuff she has learnt to do, or the odd ability she has cosmically "inherited" from her parents and trained over time.Also, by Contumellia standards she's still a juvenile, so NOT at full potential strength. So, when I list a power that is not physiological it is at minimum at 10% of her potential full power upon reaching maturity.)- Naturan Physiology: She has relatively fast reflexes, and sharp senses, able to see in the dark, recognize specific smells and hear at long distances. Her frontal canines are like those of the Chinese Water Deer (as is the case for all Naturans), so she can retract and move their position at will due to them being connected to separate muscles in her face, which coupled with her already rather sturdy set of carnivore like teeth, can deal a pretty devastating bite. All Naturans are distinctly, and VERY animal like, despite their sapience and intelligence.Naturans naturally overproduce and absorb mana, which they funnel through their bodies through a separate nervous system (alongside it's own part of the brain) specifically evolved to handle large amounts of energy. It usually reaches from their head to all their limbs to the pads of their hands and feet and are outwardly visually characterized by intricate patterns on their skin which light up whenever they utilize their innate control over mana.Jade has those marks, as do any Naturans, but due to her ascention to a Contumellia she's got a bigger mana pool (aka. a far greater ability to store mana) than regular Naturans.Jade also, like all Naturans, posseses a level of ecological empathy, being capable of sensing the well-being of any eco-system she finds herself in, as well as draw mana from said eco-system due to the symbiotic link The Naturans can stablish with nature.- Contumellia Physiology: Jade's actual physical form is different to what she looks like normally, upon her ascension; she still remained with a physical flesh body, but due to the presence of cosmic energy her body was altered to be a more fitting vessel for the power that she now wields, with her true physical form being something not many people have witnessed, as it's presence comes with the unleashing of all the power she's constantly repressing, making it so she doesn't have much control over it.So, she and other current Contumellia employ a perception filter similar to their predecessors, only instead of making it so you see what you hold most dear in your heart at the moment, it makes you see them as either what they WANT you to see them as, or as how they were prior to their ascension.- Immortality: Since her ascension, she's been long-lived, maturing slowly to now match her lengthened livespan, and considering her elders she surely has eternity to look foward to... if nothing gets in the way of that.For while she's immortal, it doesn't mean she cannot die of the usual ways a mortal can, she can go a lengthened period of time without food, or drink, or sleep, but it has a limit before her body expires.that she stays dead, however, is another thing, as if the body remains sufficiently whole that it can continue to function if revived, and her connection to her concept isn't cut, then her concept WILL revive her after a period of healing for the body has passed.and if one were to remove her cosmic power entirely? it is unknown what might happen, but considering her cosmic power is what stabilizes her now eternal existence, it might be she'll simply cease to be.- Balance/harmony embodiment: She draws power from stability of any kind and she can sense alterations in the balance of positive and negative forces of ANY kind (be it conflict, inbalances in nature, etc.) and her body reacts depending on type AND severity. Most of the time it does with her getting sick or not being as powerful as she usually is.She's not fully certain to what extent she can carry her control over her concept before she crosses the line of robbing free will, which is a line she refuses to cross, so she'd rather achieve harmony through action and not cosmic power or magic.- Stellar Manipulation: Jade is in charge of the creation of new stars and the rotation and creation of new star formations and constellations (something her father used to do), which means she's able to create and move stars, though she's not willing to use stars in battle unless absolutely necessary.- Benevolent wish granting: Oddly enough, she's mystically capable of granting people's wishes with no adverse effects to them (but adverse effects to herself.), she can only grant wishes within her power to do so. (Ie, she can make it so you'll have a good week, she can't bring your loved one back from the dead... Yet.)- Dream-walking/Dream manipulation: Jade has the capacity to enter and control the minds and cognition of others while in their sleep (only while asleep herself or in a mystically induced trance), and her control is so strong, if she truly wanted she could REALLY harm a person, which she has done before.- Aurora Manipulation: She can generate and manipulate auroras and the pure energy necessitated to create them. Her control over auroras has stretched onto her abilities to the point it is what influences her mana to sometimes be multicolored in nature.- Mana Manipulation: Unlike Anodites, and other mana wielding species, Jade (and other Naturans) utilize pure mana as a way to channel the forces around them, normal Naturans use it to channel and use elemental forces, she, and by extention her family, use it to channel and use cosmic forces.regardless, she's still capable of wielding mana into the usual energy blasts, mana constructs, shields, healing, etc.Although what Naturans do ISN'T magic, they are still able to use magic. Their own kind, anyway.- Supernatural (ish) Swordsmanship: Since she was both chronologically and physiologically 10, she's been trained in the Naturan sword-wielding art (which is based on ancient arts implemented by the original Contumellia), which implicates enhanced reflexes and movement, bold and pushing attacks intent to not stop until you've (at LEAST) staggered a foe, and more than three swords which necessitates years of skill building.she's been practicing for over 80 years, making her well-versed in the art. And a perfect wielder for Ascalon on principle.

The Naturan Empire.

Located in the outermost ring of the universe, separated from the rest of the universe by the category 8 cosmic storm known as Eternity's Crossing, The Naturan Union has been, until recent history within our region of space, subject of curiosity, rumor and legend.Not much of its ancient history survived The Silent Age, at least that we know of, yet the little historical records that remain are very telling.The Naturans, alongside the Hybreed, seem to be one of the oldest and still active multigalactical monarchies in modern times. their societal structure and technology places them at a level 19 within the Plumber union's Technological Advancement system, which isn't surprising due to their until recently unknown direct ties to the Contumellia, not only from their rulers but the complexity of their technology, being the only species that was able to engineer technology powered by mana. turning their society not only completely self-sustaining, being the Naturans themselves whom power all of it, but their usage of such a renewable and pure source of energy has led any colonies under Naturan control to reach total ecological purity.Of course, the seeming richness of their holdings has led more than one species to attempt hostile actions in order to take Naturan territory by force (one of those being the Incurseans, if that is surprising.) but both the ways of war of the Naturans, as well as the fact that they act as a completely benevolent society and will give aid if requested, has led to the more smart species to simply... not go down that rout.The subject of the most controversy, rumor and hostility has been the contested existance of the Tree of Life, said to be the source of the Naturan's neverending flow of mana, as well as the true source of all life energy that flows throughout the universe. and although the Astrum imperial family has neither confirmed or denied that such ancient relic lays within their possession, it remains the most logical theory as to how the Naturans achieved their near utopian society. Yet there's no substantial proof to even the possible location of such powerful artifact, or that it ever existed at all, lending credence to the idea that these are simple rumors.Knowledge on the members of The Imperial Family- As well as knowledge of all Contumellia that ascended after The Cataclysm is also scarce, as much of the information regarding the subject was lost after the yet to be explained event which led to a large quantity of historical records vanishing exactly 500 universal cycles ago. This being the event that is currently known as "The Silent Age."The only thing we know for certain, is that The Astrum Sisters didn't use to be alone... There were six of them once. Naturan Species/Society facts:

-They have two nervous systems, one, very similar to humans. And the other, is specially enhanced for mana absorption and discharge. All Naturans have markings going up their bodies, (most often from the hip area upward over the arms, back, opposite sides of the neck and opposite sides of the face) that serve as channels through which they absorb mana from their environment or tap into their already existing physical mana pool, send it into a specially built part of their brain to turn it into a mana based action and then catalyze said energy through the same markings.- This comes with a disadvantage. As energy surges higher than the caster's base output have the potential to cause severe brain or nerve damage from basically overwhelming their system. You can literally fry a Naturan's brain. Only expertly trained casters and the Astrum Family are able to not be... Fatally affected by this.- Due to this, they do not need to say spoken spells. And even the few spoken spells that they have are in Naturan or the language of The Contumellia, not in latin like normally utilized in Ledgerdomain and other places.- They also do not utilize projected magic circles. But can cast them.- Given they naturally have the capacity to present attributes of different animal species, they also have a hierarchical system based on instinct based dominance.- This means, among other things, that the Naturans in previous times, WERE cannibals. They technically still are, they still have the capacity to eat one another, they just don't due to current modern morality and laws seeing it as cruel.- Naturans are matriarchal. Not only due to literal nature from their own DNA, but due to the fact that their immortal rulers are a family made up of women. (Besides Paradox, but he's not seen as a direct MEMBER of the family.)- Naturans are in fact a benevolent autocratic democracy. They have a royal family, but also have their version of the house of representatives and the senate. Whom deliberate and discuss any potential laws or situations in a bi-weekly court session with Empress Mother Nature and her High Lady of War and her Guardians.- Naturans are an exceptionally peaceful, yet not meek, species. They are experts at their own brand of war, which is basically twisting the ecosystem of ANY planet to their favour and against their opponent through their nature control, coupled with ways of war salvaged from the age of the Contumellia. but do not go that rout unless in defense of themselves and their allies.- They also ARE a conquerer race. But they conquer in more... Discreet ways. Through kindness, by forging alliances, by offering aid to starving and in need planets. They slowly worm said planets into their empire with those tactics, and have only ever once needed to be violent, for even when they take over a planet... Rarely anything changes. The planets that they conquer give themselves up on their own free will.- Things are really lovely when your god dictators are lovely, right? The Astrum sisters ARE autocrats, but they are autocrats that actually work to make their people happy, and are revered due to it. They've lived so long that 1. They don't actually see being unreasonably and overtly cruel to their people (or any people's in the universe) as having any sort of point. And 2. Previous members of their kind having indeed been monstrously cruel for the sake of it has lead to them deciding on a more gentle approach. That's why, the Empire has survived for so long.- The Naturans do not get along with the Plumbers.- The Plumbers are not allowed in Naturan controlled territory without direct authorization from a member of the Astrum family. (Which after she became the ambassador to Earth, has mostly been Jade.)- There's a reason for that. Far better reason that what the Incurseans have, given Empress Mother Nature is a member of, a founder of and does make herself accountable to the Galactic High Court.- The Tree Of Life, the relic the Naturans have been safeguarding for aeons, also constantly pumps pure mana into their atmosphere, making it so they have an unlimited amount of energy as long as they are in the empire's capital planet or worlds held by the Naturan Empire.- Outside of the Empire, they have to carry crystal seeds, that are the fruit of the tree to work as portable batteries else they'll have to resort to taking the mana out of living things in mana lacking planets. (Like Earth.) Which they generally don't like to do.- They also overproduce Mana, and can draw from their own bodies, but given their biologies are overtly dependant on mana to run smoothly, they have to be wary of how much they take from even themselves. They are FAR MORE propense to decay from lack of mana than normal living beings.- The Tree of Life is the TRUE source of all life force in the universe, having been created within the Forge of Creation prior to the universe's birth and the DNA seeding of the universe by the Slimebiotes. Ledgerdomain followed soon after, and by soon I mean 150,000 years after. The Alpha Rune followed even later than that.-The Tree of Life has been replanted two times, first upon the first "homeworld" of the Contumellia (the planet they had decided to inhabit after the universe's creation), and then upon what would eventually become the capital homeworld of the Naturan Empire, as a way to keep the tree secure from the Rogue Contumellia, once the Cataclysm had started.-The Tree of Life's roots are both physical AND metaphysical. it creates crystal "roots" which carry it's power through the planet it itself is planted upon, and it's actual roots are metaphysical in nature, connected to the universal leylines, which allow it to pass pure mana throught the universe. as it is pure energy, and doesn't need organic sustenance, severing it from it's physical "roots" doesn't harm it.- Naturans nest. They, regardless of the animal they present as, have the overall instinctual need to make nests. And therefor, they do not have beds, they make nests of fluffy bedding and pillows. They will do this to earthling beds if left unsupervised.- They also WILL force their most beloved people to cuddle and spend time in the nest with them as it reinforces social bonds.- Oh. They also purr. Their purr takes different intonations depending on emotional state and also the purring in general sounds different depending on person.-The Naturan society is powered by the Naturans themselves, they use mana to run everything.- While they believe in humane and non cruel ways to tackle one's instincts, they do not believe in repressing or forcing change on a being's instincts. (Meaning Omnivores are Omnivores, Carnivores are Carnivores. They only see the eating of meat from sapient beings, and cruelly butchering creatures for their meat as wrong.)- They will fall into far lesser instincts after a long while of repressing them, which can be REALLY dangerous, and is also why they don't do it.- They REALLY do not get along with the Incurseans. They've had rather violent skirmishes from One (Incurseans) poking into the borders of the other (Naturans) for decades and it has become a never ending story at this point.- The closest alliance the Naturans possess is to the non-feral To'kustars. Their own Chief Cathernax is a good friend of the Astrum sisters and their clan both inhabits, originates from, and watches over the category 8 cosmic storm surrounding the mayority of mainland Naturan territory, and covering a large part of the outer section of the universe, known as Eternity's crossing.- even though Naturans can present attributes of differing phylum under animalia, they are ALL Omnivores and are overall a PREDATOR species. that's why the only predator they had for the longest while was eachother.(more to be added.)
